A six-week holistic soccer training program for all MYSA players entering grades 3-9. The program will focus on three key elements of player development: Soccer skill development, free play, and strength and endurance training.

MYSA believes in offering the young men and women of Middleboro every opportunity to play and improve as soccer players, athletes in general, and as teammates. Rather than focusing on one area of improvement (e.g. skills-only), we’ll offer six weeks of programming to help players improve in all the areas required to excel. We believe in doing this at an affordable price.

Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, beginning on July 9 and finishing on August 14, 6pm - 7:30pm.

All activities will take place at the Purchase Street complex, 211 Purchase Street, Middleboro, MA.

  • Soccer skills will be led by J.J. Battaglia of JB Soccer Performance (and Nichols Middle School boys soccer) and will feature additional professionals throughout the summer.

  • Open/free soccer play will be led and supervised by Drew McKenna and many MYSA coaches.

  • Strength/fitness/endurance training will be led by Mike James of Simple Healthy Life and the Middleboro YMCA.

The cost of the program - 12 sessions in total is only $60. That’s only $5 per session! As a non-for-profit organization, we can offer excellent programming for our youth at very little cost to our families.

Signing up is simple—and registration is open! Please use our SportsPilot registration system and register today.
Registration closes on July 1.

Q: Do we have to attend every session?
A: While you are not required to attend every session, doing so will vastly enhance your overall experience. We recognize that summer is travel and vacation season; not everyone can attend every session—and that’s ok!

Q: Who are J.J. Battaglia and Mike James?
A: JJ is a Middleboro resident who coaches in our grade 1/2 program as well as with the Middleboro High School/Nichols Middle School programs. He also runs JB Soccer Performance. Mike James is also a Middleboro resident. He works with athletes of all ages to improve themselves physically and mentally. Learn more about Mike at Simple Healthy Life.
